For nearly 6,000 miles the Trans-Siberian Railway extends from Moscow through mountains and plains, forests and Lake Baikal to Vladivostok and Beijing. Experiencing much of the vastness of the Soviet Union by this train included fascinating stop- over visits in Siberian cities.  Julie loved meeting the children including Svetlana in Irkutsz.
