From my new book " The Sillybillies Find Spots and Stripes"  - A story about four Sillybillies in bright bandanas that set out on a hike in Africa where they do find the secret place, discover all kinds of animals, plus the wisdom and magical powers of a Giraffe and a Zebra. And the joy in getting to know others “different” from them.

Azaleas in their many colors dance into spring in special festivals and flourishes in southern USA.  Julie’s camera has come home from trips to Charleston’s plantations, Calloway Gardens, Knoxville, Richmond, Washington DC, Cleveland ---and on and on and on. She then paints from her photographs – giving each image her own interpretation with her watercolors.

Julie creates her “Mable critters and designs” by extracting small pieces from her watercolors and manipulating them on the computer. Her imaginative designs have an extra unique quality because of her rich washes and textures in her watercolors. She also creates coordinating designs for wallpapers, fabrics, tiles, etc.
